The photo albums on London and Paris were created between May 2016 and August 2018. I’ve used a different writing process each time to create the albums. In ‘Seeing London for 40 days’, the photographs are accompanied by short reflections and stories, poems and haiku. ‘Mona’s maritime diary’ is a reflection on the interrelationship between place and identity. In ‘Imagining London in 40 days: post-Brexit’, I’ve departed from a verse line and have matched it to a place in London. Finally, in ‘Old Places, New Eyes: Paris summers’ I’ve revisited familiar places in the city and have written multilingual haiku verses to accompany the photographs.
